Mandello del Lario, a small town on the eastern shore of Lake Como, is a 1-hour train ride from Milan’s Central Train Station (Milano Centrale) or a 2-hour ride from Milan’s Malpensa Airport.

Train tickets are 15-25€ and can be purchased on Trenitalia or ItaliaRail
